Affordable Water Solutions is a local family-owned business started in 1997 by Larry Gastley, my father. Over the next 25 years, with the slogan, “We clean your water, not your wallet,” he grew the business based 100% on word-of-mouth advertising and client referrals. Since then, we have proudly served thousands of clients across Pasco, Citrus, and Hernando Counties.
My parents raised my older brother and me in Inverness, Florida; both of us joined the military after high school; I chose the Airforce, and my brother became a Green Beret in the Army. As our lives took us in different directions for some time, in 2015, I joined my Dad in the business, training under him for three years. We grew our relationship as father and son, but he also became a wonderful coach! Dad and I both believe in the importance of developing long-term client relationships, each one becoming a friend or extended family.
People often ask me what I like most about my job. And it’s pretty simple. I grew up in a home with well water, so I know what it’s like to go to school with clothes that smell like rotten eggs. I can completely identify with the clients we serve. I also enjoy the challenge of diagnosing difficult water issues, digging into the details, and the chemistry involved in how to solve the problem and help our clients live healthier lives. And if I don’t know the solution right away, my Dad and I built a wealth of consultant resources – between us, we’ve seen and fixed it all! I am also passionate about helping other small businesses grow their success as well as networking to develop mutually beneficial relationships.
